The bag

New!! The exclusive John Lautner Foundation bag. More than a tote, less than a suitcase, this bag is tough and versatile.

Each bag is sewn individually in Skandia, Michigan, and machine-embroidered especially for the Foundation.

The tote measures 11" across the front, is 6-1/2" deep and 14" tall. It is made of 1000 denier cordura that has a urethane backing, making it water resistant. The lining is a 400 denier pack cloth. the bottom is double layered for durability. The 1" heavy-duty straps wrap completely under and around the bag, also giving it strength. The inside zipper is a YKK zipper - the best available. Sewn with 92 lb. thread. It is very strong and all seams are sewn twice and then covered with grosgrain 1" binding, in black.

Cost: Inside the U.S. - $55, including shipping. Outside the U.S. - $65, including shipping

From the back cover:
The Spirit in Architecture examines the work of John Lautner, one of America's most profound and visionary architects, who began his career in Los Angeles in the 1930s. This illuminating journey into Lautner's world features never-before-seen footage from his apprenticeship with Frank Lloyd Wright at Taliesin; extensive documentation of his extraordinary buildings; and interviews with historians, critics, collaborators, clients, and Lautner himself, which put his achievements in perspective. His buildings' use in feature films and his "Googie's" coffee shop design demonstrate his contribution to popular culture. For anyone interested in the discipline of architecture, The Spirit in Arhitecture is an indispensable resource.
